Capitol yesterday sharing how shelter transparency has benefited our agency. House Bill 421 would require shelters and rescue groups in Utah to regularly collect, report, and make available public statistics regarding the intake of animals, successful outcomes and other important information to help residents determine how companion animals are being cared for in their communities.
HB 421 did not pass yesterday's committee but will hopefully make it back to committee before the end of the session with a few minor changes.
